Richard Prytula, P. Eng, MBA
Chairman & Founder

Richard Prytula is Chairman of the Board of TechnoCap Inc, Gestion TechnoCap Inc., TechnoAnge Inc., YottaYotta Inc. and 4198638 Canada Inc. (Hyperchip) and is a Managing Partner of TechnoCap I, L.P. Richard founded TechnoCap in 1993 and has co-founded technology companies such as YottaYotta and Hyperchip. Richard serves as a Director of various technology companies.

Prior to TechnoCap, Richard was Chairman, President and CEO of TurnCap, managing growth and turnaround companies and prior to that he was Chairman, President and CEO of LNS Group, a defence, aerospace and manufacturing group.

Richard has over 25 years experience with technology companies, holding various positions including Chairman, Active Director, Significant Shareholder, CEO, President, Secretary, Treasurer, General Manager, Financial Controller, International Marketing Manager, Software Development Manager and Research Engineer.

Richard has participated in research and development technology transfer with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Geological Survey, University of Saskatchewan Electrical Engineering, l'Institut Géographique National de Paris and National Research Council of Canada. He has presented technical and management papers at various international conferences.

Richard served as a director of the Canadian Advanced Technology Association (CATA) from 1985 to 1990 and as an executive committee member and Treasurer from 1987 to 1989. Richard also participated in the Aerospace Industries Association from 1980 to 1988, the American Turnaround Management Association since 1989 and the Association of Venture Capital Companies since 1982.

From 1989 to 1992, Richard was President of Capital Turncap Inc., managing growth and turnaround companies. In 1991 and 1992, Turncap oversaw the restructuring of Dafoe & Dafoe/Drysec Inc., a North American manufacturer of consumer brand products.

From 1982 to 1988, Richard was Chairman, President and CEO of LNS Group, a defence, aerospace and manufacturing group including LNS Systems Inc. (Montreal), Metcan Fabricators Ltd. (Ottawa) and Nordic Systems Inc. (Toronto). LNS' sales grew from $2 million in 1979 to $16 million in 1988, while after tax profits increased from a loss of $0.7 million to a profit of $1 million.

Prior to his nine years with LNS, Richard spent five years as Marketing Manager and Chief of Computer Systems Development for start-up companies Dynamap Ltd. (Saskatoon) and Instronics Ltd. (Ottawa), designers and manufacturers of computer graphics and digital mapping systems and products.

Richard holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and an M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario. Richard is bilingual in English and French.
