Marc Balevi is President of TechnoCap Inc, Gestion TechnoCap Inc. and TechnoAnge Inc., and a Managing Partner of TechnoCap I, L.P. Marc Balevi is also a Director of various technology companies including Kinaxis Inc., FreeBalance Inc. and YottaYotta Inc.

Marc Balevi and Richard Prytula have worked together as a team since 1982 on acquisitions, financings, purchases and sales of technology companies in various stages of development.

Prior to TechnoCap, Marc was a senior tax partner with the accounting firm of KPMG, one of the largest accounting and auditing firms in the world. Marc joined KPMG in 1981 and became a partner in 1987. As a partner at KPMG, Marc's clients included Eicon Technology Corporation, Speedware Corporation, Pfizer Canada Inc., Sandoz Canada Inc., Valmet Canada and Synergistics Inc.

As the principal tax advisor to TechnoCap since its inception, Marc advised on the corporate structure of TechnoCap as well as its investments. Marc has provided tax and business consulting advice to venture capital and investment companies in the acquisition and sale of companies in the United States, Switzerland, Ireland, China, Germany, France and Canada. Marc's experience includes the formulation of international corporate structures for his Canadian and foreign based clients including the structuring of Irish manufacturing operations, international financing structures and a network of sales and distribution subsidiaries in numerous countries.

During his 15-year career at KPMG, Marc was involved in numerous initiatives relating to high-technology companies. From 1992 until his departure, Marc acted as the Montreal liaison of KPMG's High-Technology Practice Group. The technology group's focus was on providing accounting, auditing, tax and other specialized services to software, communications and pharmaceutical companies.

Marc has been an active participant in assisting high-technology companies in structuring and obtaining financing. Marc was actively involved in the IPOs of Eicon Technology Corporation and Speedware Corporation. Eicon designs, manufactures, markets and supports a wide range of hardware and software networking products. Speedware designs and supports a wide range of enterprise software products.

As a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the International Fiscal Association, Marc has authored numerous articles and publications on tax matters and speaks on tax matters to a wide range of audiences. Marc was a regular television commentator on Quebec and Canadian budgets.

Marc has a Bachelor of Commerce (1977) and a Diploma in Accountancy (1978) from McGill University and is a Chartered Accountant. Marc is fluently bilingual in English and French.
